Rosie Pretorius
Audio and Visual Project Officer
With several years’ experience working within the community sector, in roles including film making, program development and support work, Rosie infuses her community understanding and knowledge with her creativity and film skills.
Rosie strives for a community and process driven approach within her work. She has a strong value for people and their stories, leading Rosie to study a bachelor of Human Services and Creative Industries, majoring in film at QUT. With an appreciation for collaborating on multimedia digital works, Rosie has partnered and collaborated with a number of community organisations in photography and film projects.
Rosie has strong experience working with digital content in the disability sector, inclusive of running tailored digital workshops, facilitating and producing films from participatory film projects and travelling with a disability theatre ensemble and a blind and deaf photographer to perform and exhibit their work in Japan. Rosie is passionate about film offering the opportunity to share and tell stories otherwise often unheard, pushing the boundaries of technology and loves the challenge of adapting technology to capture stories of individuals and communities.
