Jane Stewart is an accomplished lawyer, manager, resource creator, trainer, and
evaluator who has achieved outstanding results over an extended period. With
over 30 years in the not-for-profit community legal sector, Jane has experience
working with First Nations people, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD)
communities, and young people. She has worked in multidisciplinary teams and
has collaborated effectively with other government agencies, non-government
agencies, and Aboriginal Controlled Community Organisations.


Jane has expertise in creating innovative legal education resources for
vulnerable client groups. With a strong focus on co-design and co-development
using visual art, plain language and storytelling, these resources are specifically
tailored for regional and remote First Nations people, CALD communities,
young people, and people with cognitive impairments. With years of
courtroom experience, Jane is an excellent oral communicator and highly
skilled trainer who has regularly provided face to face and online training to
large and small groups. With well-developed research, interview and report
writing skills, and a firm commitment to rigorous and ethical evaluation
methods, Jane has a deep understanding of the evaluation process. With a
strong ability to communicate and connect, Jane is well equipped to help
agencies build internal evaluation capacity and capability.
